Materiel Management Section
The Materiel Management Section is responsible for stocking, storing, issuing, receiving and centralized inventory management of Prince George's County Government supplies and equipment, asset management, inventory control, along with redistribution and disposal of surplus property.
Back to Basics - Customer Service leads the way
Asset Management
Track and inventory approximately 4,500 Capital Assets within the County having an acquisition cost of $5,000 or more, with an estimated aggregate value of 17.5 million dollars while ensuring accountability is being maintained from acquisition to disposal.
Warehouse & Delivery Services
Provide warehouse services and distribution logistics for approximately 650 items such as first aid supplies, flags, custodial products, uniforms, fire fighting equipment, xerographic paper, along with County forms and publications.
Surplus Property Mgmt
Responsible for the acquisition and disposition of all Prince George's County Government surplus property along with the redistribution of surplus property to various County agencies or eligible recipients. Divesting the County of unneeded property assets reduces maintenance, utilities, liability, etc., as well as providing the County with revenue through sales. Prepares advertisements, and conducts auctions and sealed spot bid sales of surplus property.
