Domestic Violence Task Force

Prince George's County Executive Jack Johnson and State's Attorney Glenn Ivey announced the Ernestine Bunn Domestic Violence Task Force. The task force was convened as a result of the tragic death of Ernestine Bunn at the hands of her husband on March 11, 2003. The task force reviewed the people, process and technology to ensure that victims of domestic violence are better protected. As result, this Web site was developed to provide an array of on-line resources for the citizens of Prince Georges County.

"This tragedy challenged us to review and subsequently improve our response mechanisms," said Johnson. "We now have all agencies that respond to domestic violence incidents communicating with one another. As a result of the task force, the response to domestic violence incidents will be coordinated county-wide and agency-wide."
